I am a passionate environmental scientist specializing in modelling the affects of biochar applications in the soil and water. My PhD research at Wageningen University focuses on developing, modelling, and predicting cadmium speciation in soils mixed with biochar, modelling how biochar affects cadmium mobility and bioavailability in contaminated soils through advanced modeling approaches. This three-site NICA-Donnan model for biochar can be merged into a well developed multisurface modelling framework can be extended the utilization onto the modelling of any elements in the soil.
